We have an in depth understanding of what scaling a SaaS business should look like from an operating perspective as well as how investment firms will assess metrics because our advisors have lived it.

Our Founder

Jack Robbins has been a B2B software investment banker for about ~15 years advising companies on a variety of M&A and capital raise transactions. He has always found working with early-stage, founder-led businesses to be the most gratifying. Prior to founding Rockpile Partners he was a Partner within Piper Sandler’s Technology Group. Previous to Piper Sandler he was a Partner at D.A. Davidson. He began his investment banking career at the Technology Group at Goldman Sachs.

Previous to his banking career, Robbins spent four years in the Marine Corps as an infantry officer deploying to both Afghanistan and Iraq. His Marine Corps service instiled in him a deep commitment to integrity, an unwavering mission-driven mindset, and achieving results under pressure.

Robbins earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University Arizona and Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University.

Robbins is a native of Southern California and resides in Laguna Beach. The firm name Rockpile Partners is inspired by Rockpile Beach in Laguna Beach where he enjoys exploring the tide pools with his sons.
